SUBSTANCE: device for placing hands on the steering wheel contains a latch that can rotate around its own axis at the place of fixation. The device is made in the form of at least one elbow pad with a rigid insert connected by elastic rods to the finger pad, to which a latch is connected made in the form of a round pin for connection with a ring attached to the steering wheel, in the space of a cylindrical or conical hole, to enable the pin to slide freely along the axis of the hole and rotate around it. An extension made in the form of a tubular garland makes it possible to rotate the steering wheel from the front side of the car where there is no steering wheel. The tubular garland is made in the form of pipes connected to each other by a spiral spring.

EFFECT: increased safety is ensured due to the ability to relax the hands without reducing the ability to quickly and adequately react, since the hands are suspended on the steering wheel by the rotating elements of the device and, if necessary, are easily removed from the suspension.
