FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: angular selective self-regulation of light transmission of a window with adaptation to the trajectory of the sun. The effect is achieved by the fact that a double-louver smart window with a variable width of louver stripes consists of louvers with parallel stripes of reflective, absorbing, or scattering materials, including single- or multilayer materials with two or more light transmission modes, applied with the same and constant period on two surfaces of a vertical flat window, and the width of the stripes of both the louvers, the shift of the louvers relative to each other and their inclination relative to the horizontal axis of the window plane at an angle ranging from 0° up to 90° calculated taking into account the trajectory of the sun relative to the window on the selected calculated day of the year with maximum sun protection requirements to ensure a minimum light transmission of the window at the selected time of this calculated day, while the stripes of only the entrance, only the exit, or both the louvers are applied with calculated widths only in one selected place along the height of the window, respectively, the remaining stripes of this input, this output, or both the louvers are applied in such a way that their widths as a whole increase in the direction across the stripes of gratings from top to bottom of the window, gradiently through each period of the louvers or discretely with the window area divided into zones, all stripe widths remaining unchanged in each.
EFFECT: more uniform distribution of illumination from direct sunlight in the room compared to a conventional window or a conventional smart window in combination with blinds.
