FIELD: architecture; construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable in architecture and construction for angular selective self-regulation of light transmission of a window with adaptation to the trajectory of the sun relative to it and taking into account the seasonal change in the angle of incidence of sunlight on the surface of the window. Taking into account the trajectory of the sun, relative to it on the selected design day of the year with the maximum requirements for sun protection, the widths of the stripes of the smart window with a two-grating optical filter and their location on both gratings are calculated, as well as the inclination of the grating stripes with respect to the horizontal axis of the window plane under angle in the range from 0 to 90º to ensure the minimum light transmission of the window at the selected time of the calculated day. Additionally, the temporal characteristics of the light transmission of the window are calculated for any other days of the year at different distances between the two gratings to ensure the minimum light transmission of the window at the selected time. The most suitable distances are determined to obtain satisfying temporal characteristics of light transmission and move one of the glasses of the smart window with a lattice at these distances.
EFFECT: possibility of optimized angular regulation of the light transmission of the window with adaptation to the trajectory of the sun relative to it and with the minimization of light transmission at the selected time of the day in different months of the year.
