FIELD: power plants.
SUBSTANCE: power plant operating on temperature differences in different environments is presented. The invention is intended for converting low-grade heat into mechanical or electrical energy. Depending on the options for using the structures, the proposed power plant can be used to convert low-grade heat from various media (water or air) into electrical energy at any time of the year. According to the first variant of the power plant, the heated chamber is located in a warm or hot medium flow, and the condenser is located in a cold medium flow. According to the second variant, at low outdoor temperatures, the heated chamber is placed in an additional thermal energy storage tank with non-freezing liquid, the temperature in which is maintained by external solar collectors or a unit with a parabolic-cylinder reflector, and the condenser is located in a cold medium flow. According to the third version of the power plant, when operating in autumn-spring conditions, the heated chamber is placed outdoors at the focus of the concentrating mirror, and flat heliostat mirrors summarize and direct solar insolation to the horizontal optical axis of the concentrating mirror.
EFFECT: proposed power plant for high temperature differences in different media does not use combustion of organic fuels, and its design consists of standardized units and therefore can be recommended for implementation in areas with cold sharply continental climate.
