FIELD: protective compositions.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition protecting against deep penetration into the surface of drinks, intended for application to the surface of paper or cardboard, containing the following components, in parts by weight: 20 - aqueous dispersion of polystyrene-maleimide, at a concentration of 40%; 50 - binder, at a concentration of 60%; 10 - filler, at a concentration of 100%; 0.02 - ammonium polyacrylate, at a concentration of 40%; 0.01 - defoamer, at a concentration of 80%; 10 - demineralized water - 10, wherein the binder is an aqueous dispersion of copolymers of acrylic acid and acrylic acid esters, polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), polyurethane, copolymers of styrene and maleimide, the filler is a mineral filler: talc, calcium carbonate, silicon dioxide doped with aluminosilicate sodium, oxidized kaolin, or organic filler: aqueous dispersions of polystyrene, high molecular weight polymethyl methacrylate, paraffins, and the defoamer is a mixture of alkoxylated nonionic compounds, such as C9-C12 ethoxylated alcohol, C12-C16 alcohol ethoxylate-propoxylate. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining the above composition, to a method of applying it to a paper surface, to its direct use and its use in combination with another composition to protect the surface of paper or cardboard from deep penetration into the surface of drinks, as well as to variants of a container made from a material having a paper surface coated with a layer of the above composition.

EFFECT: ensuring the functional properties of the coating, such as heat sealability, resistance to direct exposure to cold and hot drinks during the period of operation of the final coated base product.
