METHOD OF MANUAL MUSCLE TESTING USING LONG LEVERS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/11

Abstract RU 2805788 C1

FIELD: medicine; vertebrology; manual medicine; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when conducting manual muscle testing using long levers. When the patient maintains a vertical posture, the fixing hand creates a fulcrum against which the subject’s body will move, and the testing hand creates spring pressure on the region on which it is located. As a result, the tonic component of isometric muscle contraction is tested in the joint work mode.

EFFECT: method allows to quickly and without any additional equipment evaluate changes in the activity of the myotatic reflex of skeletal muscles, as a manifestation of a violation of the adaptation of skeletal muscles to isometric load under conditions of active work of the postural system due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
