FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric material for electricity-generating thermoelements and thermopiles. Essence: thermoelectric material is made on the basis of a compound of zinc and antimony (ZnSb), into which an antimony-cadmium compound (SbCd) is additionally introduced in an amount of 45-55 mol.% to obtain a ternary compound of cadmium-containing zinc diantimonide (Sb2ZnCd) and a crystal-forming material, ensuring formation of crystallization centres in the alloy during solidification of the melt. Graphite is used as the crystal-forming material in an amount of 0.1-0.6 mol.%. The alloying additive is lead in an amount of 0.05-0.09 mol.% introduced into cadmium-containing zinc diantimonide.

EFFECT: increased thermo-emf factor.
