FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: in a stud (P), including a body section (10) recessed into a tire tread section, an apical section (11) protruding from an apical side of the body section (10), and a flange section (12) located on the supporting end side section (10) of the body. The housing section (10) has a cross-sectional area in a plane perpendicular to the central axis (X) of the housing section (10), varying along the central axis (X) of the housing (10), and the cross-sectional area Sa at the location of the maximum width of the housing section (10) and the cross-sectional area Sb at the location of the top of the housing section (10) satisfy the relationship 0.30 ≤ Sb/Sa ≤ 0.80. The tire (T) includes a stud (P) located on a tread section (21).
EFFECT: improved noise characteristics and increased resistance to stud falling out.
