FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for preparation of concrete using amorphous silicon dioxide as a modifier in form of technogenic waste from gas purification of electrothermal production of silicon and/or silicon-containing alloys with limited carbon content. A method for preparing the concrete mixture involves dosing components and mixing the mixture including Portland cement, filler, water, and a modifying additive containing amorphous silicon dioxide. As a modifying additive containing amorphous silicon dioxide, technogenic waste from gas purification of electrothermal production of silicon and/or silicon-containing alloys with a specific surface of 15-28 m2/g and a bulk density of 0.2-0.25 g/cm3 is used in an amount of 7- 11 wt.% by weight of cement, the content of free carbon in the modifying additive is no more than 3 wt.%, and the content of amorphous silicon dioxide is 80-97 wt.%, while the content of the modifying additive is 7-11 wt.% of weight of cement.
EFFECT: effective interaction of the modifying additive with the components of the concrete mixture, obtaining a dense and durable structure of the modified material.
