FIELD: grinding process; condition of drum mills.
SUBSTANCE: invention makes it possible to identify structural, electromechanical and technological faults that prevent the achievement of nominal productivity with minimal energy consumption by the electric drive of the mills. The method consists in the fact that to determine the filling level of mill drum 4 using the Fourier transform, the frequency components of the signals of filled mill 4, driven by the torque of electric motor 2, are analysed. In this case, the torque signal of electric motor 2 is continuously measured by torque sensor 8, from the output of which it is transmitted to the input of block 10 for calculating the frequency components of the torque of motor 2, in which mill state signals are generated by fast Fourier transform. Then the spectra of the torque signal at non-nominal parameters are compared with the reference spectrum, which corresponds to the nominal state. Next, the mismatch signal is determined, which is supplied to the input of block 11 of the technological control system for the grinding process, at the output of which the rotation speed signal of electric motor 2 is formed.
EFFECT: method improves the energy efficiency of the grinding process in drum mills.
