FIELD: mineral processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the regulation of the process of grinding materials in drum mills. The method includes loading and grinding material with automatic control of the speed of rotation of the mill drum and unloading the material from the mill. Prior to grinding, the properties of the material and the parameters of the grinding balls are set on the workstation. The drum mill drive is connected to a frequency drive to receive and transmit information to the controller connected to the workstation. The speed of rotation of the mill drum is controlled by synchronization with the model, which specifies the size of the material at a given time in comparison with a given size. During grinding, vibrations are measured on the electric drive and the drive shaft of the mill and a signal is transmitted to the controller, which processes and compares it with the maximum allowable one. When it is exceeded, the electric drive of the mill is stopped.
EFFECT: reduced energy consumption of the drum mill drive in grinding the material.
