SUBSTANCE: modular network switch, creating switches of various modifications protected against external effects at minimal cost and in a short time. To achieve the effect, the switch consists of three main modules: a managed switch module, an interface module, and a power supply module. The managed switch module consists of a switch chip, port expansion chips, and optical link connectors. Heat is removed from the switching module to the heat distribution plate, which is subsequently in contact with the housing. The interface module can have several modifications with different types and numbers of connectors and allows network interfaces to be routed to the product body using various connectors. The third module, the power supply module, can have different ranges of supply voltages.

EFFECT: high degree of maintainability, manufacturability, standardization, ability to create modified versions of products without significant time and labour costs for design while maintaining reliability and resistance of the finished products to the external factors, such as dust, moisture, and other possible.
