SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a dental gel which can be used in acute periodontal inflammatory process, during the period of exacerbation of chronic periodontal inflammatory process, as well as after surgery. The composition of the gel components includes the following, wt.%: chlorhexidine bigluconate (0.12 or from 0.19 to 0.21), sodium copper chlorophyllin (from 0.01 to 0.02), fir extract (from 0.04 to 0.05), D-panthenol (from 0.28 to 0.31), eugenol (from 0.01 to 0.02), sodium alginate 2.5% solution (from 1.24 to 1.57), allantoin (0.05 or from 0.03 to 0.04), methyl salicylate (0.06 to 0.07), pectin (0.6 or from 0.57 to 0.59), methylparaben (0.09 to 0.1), hydrogenated castor oil (2.61 to 2.88), hydroxyethylcellulose (1.9 to 2.1), menthol (0.04 to 0.05), flavor (0.04 up to 0.05), sorbitol 70% solution (from 70.3 to 77.7) and water. The composition of the gel ensures stable, long-lasting bioadhesion in the oral cavity, long-term contact of active substances with the mucous membrane and their delayed release. The use of the gel provides an effective effect in reducing the intensity of the inflammatory process of periodontal tissues, improving the regeneration of postoperative wounds and preventing inflammatory complications in the postoperative period.

EFFECT: gel can be used for a long time (for 2–3 weeks) without any unnecessary staining of the teeth.
