FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to measure the angle of inclination of structures relative to the horizon. Fibre-optic pendulum tilt angle sensor contains a housing, a pendulum with an inertial mass placed inside it, fixed on a rotating shaft, inlet and outlet optical fibres, between which a shutter with a hole is placed. At the same time, the ends of the shaft are fixed in bearings pressed into the bores of the newly introduced inner housing, which is firmly fixed in the housing and the outer diameter of which is less than the inner diameter of the housing by (1…10)dod, where dod is the outer diameter of the optical fibre. The shutter is made in the central part of the shaft, the longitudinal axis of the shaft is in the same plane with the optical axis of the supply optical fibre and the centre of the shutter in the neutral position of the pendulum and is perpendicular to the optical axes of the optical fibres.

EFFECT: expansion of the tilt angle measurement ranges up to 30 degrees with high sensitivity of optical signal conversion.
