SUBSTANCE: method of organizing the combustion process in the chamber of an air-breathing engine, including supplying fuel to the combustion chamber through a porous material, in contrast to the prototype method, fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber through a system of nozzles installed along the entire outer surface of the combustion chamber, through a porous material that is used to make the walls of the combustion chamber or is made in the form of a removable insert placed on the inner wall of the combustion chamber. The combustion process is based on the detonation principle of fuel combustion. Some of the fuel is supplied directly to the combustion chamber through some of the injectors, bypassing the porous material. The porous material is solid fuel with a porous structure, or a permeable porous mesh material on a metal base, or a porous metal-ceramic material based on carbon nanotubes. In addition, the porous walls of the combustion chamber are made of components with different properties.

EFFECT: improved cooling of the combustion chamber wall, as well as elimination of coking of the fuel supply channels and reduced thermal stresses in the combustion chamber walls.
