FIELD: fuel combustion devices.
SUBSTANCE: method of arrangement of intermittent operation of continuous-detonation combustion chamber includes supply of oxidizer and liquid fuel in form of jets and wall films and initiation of combustion. For the combustion chamber, the fatigue strength of its walls and the critical temperature at which it is destructed are determined. Value of critical temperature is reduced to the preset operating value of wall temperature, this value is taken as a criterion, which is used to compare current values of wall temperature and when at least one of them reaches the working temperature value, fuel supply is stopped. Air is forced through the combustion chamber to cool the surface of its inner walls, and when the walls reach a given initial temperature, the next fuel is supplied and the detonation initiator is connected. Continuous-detonation combustion and cooling are repeatedly repeated. Continuous operation time of the combustion chamber is increased to the value equal to the sum of the combustion chamber operation periods. Proposed device comprises flow-through annular combustion chamber, detonation initiators with valves, oxidizer feed unit, liquid fuel feed units composed of jets and wall films with valves and outlet nozzle. Device is equipped with automatic control system with amplifying-converting device, on external surfaces of walls of combustion chamber temperature sensors are installed. Temperature sensors are connected to input of amplifier-converter device, and outlets are connected to valves.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing continuous operation time of continuous-detonation combustion chamber.
