SUBSTANCE: invention is related to regrinding rolls of a screw rolling mill. A mushroom-shaped or cup-shaped roll is regrinded, consisting of inlet and outlet sections separated by pinching with specified lengths and taper angles, with a decrease in diameter over its entire working surface. Regrinding of the roll is carried out with a displacement of the pinch by changing the lengths of the extreme sections of the roll in such a way that the location of the pinch and the magnitude of the taper angles of the inlet and outlet sections in the deformation zone remain unchanged. Moreover, the amount of pinch displacement is determined by a mathematical formula.

EFFECT: when using ground rolls, defects on the inner surface of the workpieces are reduced and the accuracy of their geometric dimensions is increased.
