SUBSTANCE: polarization method for measuring the parameters of projectile motion at the internal ballistics stage. To measure the parameters of a projectile's motion, an electromagnetic wave is emitted onto the projectile in the direction opposite to its movement, the radiation reflected from the projectile is received, which is linearly polarized with a polarizer installed in the head of the projectile, the reflected radiation is converted into an electrical signal and then processed in a certain way, and the projectile rotation angles are calculated, with the help of which the angular and linear velocities and accelerations of the projectile in the gun barrel are determined.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of measuring linear, angular velocities and accelerations of a projectile at the stage of internal ballistics.
