FIELD: ballistics.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring linear and angular velocities and accelerations of a projectile in a gun barrel, in which the initial parameters of the Bragg deformation sensors are set before firing, their resonant wavelengths are determined and fixed using a tunable fibre filter to compensate for possible temperature and deformation changes in the resonant wavelengths of the Bragg deformation sensors. After the shot, the signals from the photodetector are differentiated, time t of the projectile passing through the measuring sections is fixed, when the first and second derivatives of the signal from the photodetector dUc=0, and d2Uc<0, corresponding to the equality of the resonant wavelengths of the tunable fibre filter and Bragg deformation sensors. According to the time of passage of the projectile through the measuring sections, linear, angular velocities and accelerations of the projectile in the gun barrel are calculated.

EFFECT: prevention of influence of electromagnetic and radio frequency interference and the length of the connecting cable on the accuracy of measurements of linear and angular velocities and accelerations of the projectile in a gun barrel.
