SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to monitor the condition and calibration of multiphase flow meters in the oil production and oil refining industries. The technical result is achieved in that the method for calibrating a multiphase flowmeter includes installing a device for calibration, including a holder, which is a pipe with a regulating mechanism for opening and closing its internal space installed at its upper end, and a cup coaxially fixed at the lower end of the holder with at least two holes made in its side walls and located in the same plane opposite each other and a sealing ring installed on the outer surface of the cup below the holes into the internal cavity of the flow meter so that the holes in the cup are located coaxially with the windows of the flow meter, and the sealing ring ensures a tight connection between the outer surface of the cup and the internal space of the flow meter, and sequential calibration measurements in the following modes: when filling the working volume of the flow meter with air at normal pressure; when creating a stable vacuum in the working volume of the flow meter of not higher than 0.098 MPa; when filling the working volume of the flow meter with neutral gas (for example, nitrogen) at normal pressure; when filling the working volume of the flow meter with a sample of formation water taken from the well fluid (unstable gas condensate) not earlier than 14 days before calibration; when filling the working volume of the flow meter with a sample of stable gas condensate, selected from the well fluid (unstable gas condensate) not earlier than 14 days before calibration, while introducing samples for calibration measurements is carried out through the internal space of the calibration device holder, in each mode calibration measurements are carried out in the operating mode of the flow meter, and after each mode the calibration device and the working volume of the flow meter are cleaned from the remains of the corresponding sample.

EFFECT: claimed technical solution provides high accuracy in determining the parameters of multiphase fluid flow in various pipeline systems in real time and allows monitoring the performance of the flow meter without dismantling it.
