SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the coefficient of soil filtration during geotechnical surveys. The method for determining the soil filtration coefficient involves placing a sample of an undisturbed structure in a sleeve made up of two half-rings, installing the sleeve with the sample into the cavity of the filtration device and measuring water flow at a given pressure. Before installation into the device cavity, the outer surface of the sleeve is scanned. Then, one by one, removing the half-rings, the side surface of the sample is scanned, 3D models based on the scanning data are built and two elements are printed on a 3D printer, the outer surface of which is identical to the surface of the half-rings, and the inner surface coincides with the surface of the sample, and the half-rings are replaced with the indicated elements one by one.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the results of determining the soil filtration coefficient by blocking the filtration of water along the walls of the sleeve containing the sample.
