FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of electrical machines in which wedges are used to fasten the windings in the open grooves of the magnetic circuit. The essence of the invention: an electric machine contains stator or rotor windings placed in open slots with fastening by means of wedges, and the slot wedges are made laminated from two-phase magnetic material in such a way that the non-magnetic zones are located in the centre of the wedges along the entire height of the wedges, and the thickness of the non-magnetic zone is 30-40% of the stator slot width.
EFFECT: increased energy efficiency and reliability.
