FIELD: small arms; artillery weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to design of unitary ammunition, and can be used in sniper, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons systems. The ammunition contains a cartridge case, a primer, an igniter, a propellant powder charge and a projectile-bullet. Additionally, the ammunition is filled with oxygen. A method for manufacturing ammunition is also proposed, in which, before loading a propellant powder charge into the muzzle of a cartridge case filled with atmospheric air, a pipe with a calibrated outlet hole is inserted to the bottom of the cartridge case with a gap to the inner surface of its bottom, with the possibility of its movement in the cartridge case. Oxygen is supplied through the pipe, which replaces the nitrogen contained in the atmospheric air. The pipe is removed from the sleeve cavity without stopping the oxygen supply. After that, a propellant powder charge is loaded into the cartridge case and a projectile-bullet is mounted.
EFFECT: increase in the initial speed of projectile departure from the barrel is ensured by intensifying the combustion of gunpowder in an oxygen environment.
