METHOD OF ACCELERATING BULLETS AND MULTI-SECTION MULTI-BULLET UNITARY SHOT FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC F42B5/03

Abstract RU 2814053 C1

FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of accelerating bullets and a multi-section, multi-bullet unitary shot for its implementation. To accelerate the bullets in the barrel of the artillery or small arms, the bullets are placed in the cartridge case of a unitary shot and accelerated with the help of gunpowder. Combustion of powders is initiated by two primers-igniters, one of which is placed on the bottom of the cartridge case of a unitary shot, made multisectional conical, and the other one is pressed into the rear of one external bullet from three bullets: an internal bullet, a tail-finned intermediate bullet and an external bullet, placed inside the case alternately, coaxially, in contact with each other. Inner bullet is pressed into inside rolling groove, which is made in hot sleeve with formation of two isolated sections inside sleeve, which are filled with gunpowder. In the end of the internal bullet, the tail-finned part of the fledged intermediate bullet is pinched, at the center of mass containing the empennage. Tip of the tail-finned intermediate bullet is fixed with fusible material at the center of the primer of the external bullet. External bullet is inserted into the cylindrical barrel molded on the end of the case and squeezed in it. Combustion fronts are directed towards each other, and after they have built up the forcing pressure, they are directed to the three bullets sequentially clamped inside the cartridge. By means of forcing pressure the above bullets in the barrel are accelerated by one shot one after another. Also disclosed is a multi-section multi-bullet unitary shot device.

EFFECT: providing the creation of high pressure in the case and the barrel channel and its retention for a relatively long time for acceleration with one shot of several ammunition, including tail-finned ammunition, in order to increase their range, accuracy and armor penetration.
