SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the mechanical characteristics of soils. A device for determining the parameters of the mechanical properties of soils includes a thrust beam, a shear ring, a hydraulic jack located between the beam and the shear ring and a stamp mounted on the shear ring. Equipped with a load ring installed under the shear ring, the thrust beam is made with the possibility of horizontal movement and is equipped with a hydraulic cylinder mounted on the beam, the beam is also equipped with two plates installed on the top of the beam and four hydraulic jacks installed on the plates and connected using retractable rods and racks with a loading ring. The shear ring is installed with the possibility of strictly horizontal movement along the surface of the loading ring using a cable rod connecting the hydraulic cylinder mounted on the beam with the shear ring, and the hydraulic jack located between the beam and the shear ring is installed with the possibility of horizontal movement.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of determining reliable mechanical characteristics of soils, expanding the functionality of the device, increasing the mobility of the device, reducing labour costs and time for conducting experiments.
