FIELD: cold working.

SUBSTANCE: relates to a mandrel for cold working of pipes. The mandrel is made with a profile outer surface and a core located coaxially inside the mandrel. The mandrel has a longitudinal gap along its entire length between adjacent faces at one of the vertices of the outer contour. The inner surface on both sides of the mandrel is made in the form of two mated conical sections. The core consists of two conical bushings connected to each other by a threaded connection and installed with the possibility of longitudinal movement. The taper of the outer surface of the bushings corresponds to the taper of the sections of the inner surface of the mandrel.

EFFECT: free removal of the mandrel from the pipe is ensured without distorting the shape and dimensions of the cross-section of the pipe.
