FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of increasing sunflower yields in the soil and climatic conditions of the Ryazan Region includes tillage and sowing operations, while winter wheat is used as a predecessor, after harvesting which the stubble is peeled. In the spring, for the main tillage of the soil after cultivation, mineral fertilizers N120P60K60 are applied and then in the second ten days of May, seeds of sunflower hybrids Imeria KS or Kodizol KL are sown into the prepared soil at a planting depth of 4–5 cm with a seeding rate of 45.0 thousand seeds per hectare and post-sowing soil rolling is performed. During the growing season, crops are treated with the herbicide Eurolighting at a rate of 1.2 l/ha and the insecticide Fastak at a rate of 0.15 kg/ha in the phase of 5–8 true leaves.
EFFECT: proposed method of increasing sunflower yields ensures a high and stable yield and accelerates the ripening of sunflowers.
