METHOD FOR REMOVING SEDIMENTS FROM PERMANENT CATHODE PLATE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC C25C7/08 C25B9/00

Abstract RU 2808861 C1

FIELD: hydrometallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method for removing sediment from a permanent cathode plate. A scraper made of metallic material is built into the permanent cathode plate. To separate sediments from the plate body, the scraper passes through the permanent cathode plate body, rotates, turns over and lifts the scraper by means of the operating lever, and deflects the plane of the scraper from the plane of the permanent cathode plate through the above scraper actions. The material of the scraper and the operating lever is selected in accordance with the characteristics of the sediment. To achieve a long production cycle, scraper material is selected with stronger adhesion to sediment. The sediments are adhered to the permanent cathode plate on both sides using a scraper that passes through the body of the permanent cathode plate. To ensure uniform and reliable adhesion of deposits to the permanent cathode plate, a number of materials with stronger adhesion are built in. Complete separation of sediment is carried out by vibration, pulling or lifting when the range of action of the scraper is insufficient to separate the sediment as a whole.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of permanent cathode cleaning operation, protection of the permanent cathode plate, flexible use of a combination of various metal materials on the permanent cathode plate, and expansion of the application scope of the permanent cathode process.
