FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the nuclear, chemical industry, heat power engineering and metallurgy. Electrolyzer for the synthesis of oxidized graphite contains the body, which is 1 divided into the anodic and cathodic sections, which are separated with the fluoroplastic grid 7. Cathode 8 is the device in the form of the movable metal tape 9, which is partially immersed into the electrolyte 15. In the anode section, titanium balls 5 were added in order to enable graphite to be clamped to the anode current lead 4, which is made in the form of a steel plate and equipped with the vibration shaker 3 in order to enable better advancement of graphite with titanium balls 5. Electrolyte 15 contains nitric acid and is the aqueous solution, which is prepared from electroplating wastes and contains nitrate ions, with the nitric acid concentration of 20–36 %, and metal cations – Cu2+ – 16.060 g/l; Fe2+ – 0.067 g/l; Ni2+ – 0.057 g/l; Zn2+ – 0.010 g/l. Galvanostatic mode is applied and electrochemical processing is performed at the current densities of 100–600 mA/g and at the potential of 1.4–4.4 V with transferring to the graphite of the electricity in the amount of 200 mA∙h/g. Invention simultaneously with the preparation of thermoexpanded graphite compounds in the anode section allows to carry out electrolytic deposition of pure metals on the cathode in the form of precipitatation, which is collected into the containers of 13.
EFFECT: costs for obtaining thermoexpanded graphite compounds are reduced by means of using the electrolytes on the basis of galvanic waste, and ecology is improved by means of utilization of galvanic waste.
