FIELD: pulp and paper industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of paper for printing securities and long-term documents, in particular for banknotes. The fibrous composition for making paper includes bleached sulphate coniferous cellulose in an amount of 50-70 wt.% in terms of absolutely dry fibre by weight of dry fibre, flax cellulose in an amount of 30-50 wt.% in terms of absolutely dry fibre by weight of dry fibre and non-fibrous additives. In this case, flax cellulose contains no more than 0.4 wt.% lignin, no less than 90 wt.% alpha cellulose, no more than 0.5 wt.% resins and fats. Also proposed is paper made from the inventive fibrous composition.
EFFECT: it is possible to obtain paper with good physical and mechanical strength for the production of long-term documents.
