SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of underwater connection of pipelines and is intended for installation, removal and replacement of seals using interchangeable tools. The mechanism for fixing the replaceable tool in the mating frame is configured to hold the interchangeable tool in the mating frame for longitudinal movement of the interchangeable tool and is located inside the frame with plates fixed to it along the perimeter. Two input sliders are made on the plates of the mechanism. The sliders can move inside the holes made in the upper plate of the frame of the replaceable tool. A compression spring is installed on each input slider, which rests on the plates of the mechanism and the frame. Inside the frame there are two rocker arms and output clamps of the replaceable tool connected to them in the mating frame. A handle is fixed on the top plate of the mechanism, to which two paired input sliders are attached. The locks of the replaceable tool in the mating frame are sliders, so that when the springs automatically restore their initial position due to their spaced position, synchronous plane-parallel movement of the rockers and longitudinal movement of the output sliders connected to them are provided.

EFFECT: simplified fixing of the tool in the mating frame and increasing the reliability of the entire mechanism.
