UNDERWATER CONNECTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONNECTION OF PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC F16L1/26 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to underwater connecting devices (UCD) intended for connection of underwater pipelines, as well as to method of their connection. Device includes a terminal device, a post, a mounting beam, a connecting clamp, a sealing ring, a detachable guide pole and a detachable pull-up tool. Connecting clamp is made with possibility of connection of underwater pipeline and pipeline of underwater oil-and-gas production module by means of their bushings reduction and includes guide pins for its connection with front plates of post and terminal device. On each of the front and rear sides of the connecting clamp there is only one docking damper placed between the guide pins and shifted downwards relative to the hole for the connecting bushing. To connect the pipelines, first, the terminal device is lowered to the bottom to the post and the landing beam previously placed there. Thereafter, the extension part of the terminal device with the pipeline bushing installed in it is moved to the mating pipeline bushing arranged on the post, and the bushings are fixed by the clamping segments of the connecting clamp.

EFFECT: provision for perception of impact loads on the connecting clamp without significant increase in mass characteristics of the UCD, reducing the probability of breakage of the connecting clamp and downtime of equipment as a result of such breakdown.
