FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: dried biological composition for the delivery of microorganisms that can be used in agriculture (variants) is proposed; a method of production of a dried composition; and a method of controlling insects, fungi or nematodes on a treated surface, comprising applying an effective amount of an optionally diluted composition to the treated area are proposed. The composition includes a silica substrate and Clonostachys rosea or Pseudomonas fluorescens microorganisms applied to the surface of the substrate, with a total moisture content of about 0.01 wt.% to about 15 wt.%; the pore volume of the substrate is approximately 0.01–1.20 cm3/g based on the Barrett-Joyner-Halenda model, or the surface area of the BET substrate is approximately 400–600 m2/g and the pore volume is greater than 1 cm3/g per based on the Barrett-Joyner-Halenda model, or more than 2 cm3/g according to mercury porosimetry.
EFFECT: inventions provide obtaining microorganisms in a dried, stable form with a high content of colony-forming units.
