FIELD: petrophysics.
SUBSTANCE: petrophysical analysis of the fluid content of low-permeability rocks, including complex shale oil and gas source rocks - hydrocarbon reservoirs. A method for laboratory determination of the mineralization of formation and pore water of low-permeability rocks is characterized by the fact that it includes the following stages: selection of a rock sample; measurement of free water content in a rock sample; measurement of the isotopic composition of free water; abrasion of the rock sample; selecting a sample of the required mass and transferring it to a measuring tube; adding a liquid solvent to a measuring tube; mixing the suspension from the sample and the solvent liquid, settling and passing through a filter; determination of the content of water-soluble salts and assessment of the mineralization of pore water, taking into account the content of free water in the sample.
EFFECT: increasing the speed, reliability and accuracy of determining the mineralization of pore water of shale source rock samples, including those with an initially low total water content.
