SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for handling laundry. A device for handling laundry, comprising: a casing having an inlet cavity formed on one surface; a clothing treatment chamber positioned in the housing to accommodate clothing; a hanger portion including hangers on which clothes are hung; and a back-and-forth moving portion for generating a rotational force to move the hanger portion back and forth, wherein the hanger portion and the back-and-forth moving portion are horizontally attached.

EFFECT: hangers are set to reciprocate along the direction of the width of the casing, other drive units are arranged for moving the hangers in other directions in the upper portion of the laundry storage space, so as to use space effectively.
