FIELD: electrical energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants operating on the basis of converting solar radiation into electrical energy, and can be used to increase the production of electrical energy due to the best orientation of the solar panel relative to the direction of the Sun. The essence of the invention is that a device for automatic orientation of a solar battery, containing a support shield, a tilting shield with a first hinge unit, a rotary shaft with a solar battery mounting unit, a first bearing unit, an electric drive of the rotary shaft with a program control unit, a screw and a nut, combined into a kinematic transmission of the screw-nut type, wherein the tilting shield is connected to the support shield through the first hinge unit, which allows the tilting shield to be tilted relative to the supporting one, the rotary shaft is connected to the tilting shield through the first bearing assembly, and the electric drive shaft of the rotary shaft is connected to the rotary shaft, while the device contains big gear, small gear, a second bearing unit, a second hinge unit, an electromagnetic clutch with a program control unit, wherein the large gear is coaxially connected to the nut, the nut is coaxially connected to the second bearing unit, the second bearing unit is attached to the tilting shield, the screw, on one side, is attached through the second hinge unit to the support shield and is engaged with the nut, freely and coaxially passes through a large gear and a second bearing assembly, the small gear is meshed with the large gear and coaxially attached to the electromagnetic clutch, and the electromagnetic clutch is coaxially connected to the rotary shaft.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the efficiency of the device by implementing an automatic process of orienting the solar battery panel of a photovoltaic installation, relative to the direction to the Sun in the azimuthal and zenithal planes, ensuring the maintenance of an angle close to zero degrees between the perpendicular to the plane of the solar panel working surface and the direction to the Sun in the duration of the time the Sun is above the horizon.
