FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: strip core has a strip core body obtained by stacking a plurality of polygonal annular sheets of anisotropic electrical steel in a side view. The anisotropic electrical steel sheet has flat parts and curved parts that alternate continuously in the longitudinal direction. The curved portion in the side view has an inner radius of curvature r of 1 mm or more and 5 mm or less. An anisotropic electrical steel sheet has a chemical composition containing, in mass percent: Si: 2.0 to 7.0%, with the balance being Fe and impurities, and have a Goss-oriented texture. In at least one of the curved portions, crystal grain size Dpx (mm) of the stacked anisotropic electrical steel sheet is FL/4 or greater. Here FL is the average length (mm) of the flat parts. Dpx (mm) is the average value of Dp according to the following formula (1) Dp=√(Dc*Dl/p). Dc (mm) is the average crystal grain size in the direction in which the boundary line extends at the respective boundaries between the curved portion and the two flat portions between which the curved portion is placed. Dl (mm) is the average crystal grain size at the boundary in the direction perpendicular to the boundary direction. The average Dp is the average of the Dp on the inside and the Dp on the outside of one flat part between two flat parts and the Dp on the inside and Dp on the outside of the other flat part.
EFFECT: reducing the noise in the core.
