FIELD: colouring compositions; ceramic.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for decorating ceramic products. A composition for colouring untreated or partially fired ceramic material includes a titanium compound, a water-soluble organic chromium and/or nickel compound and a solvent. The solvent is water, organic solvents miscible with water, and mixtures thereof. The titanium compound is prepared by reacting at least one titanium alkoxide with water or a mixture of water with at least one alcohol. Glycolic acid is added to the resulting reaction mixture to obtain a titanium intermediate. Then at least one compound of the formula N(R2)3 is added, where the R2 groups are independently selected from H, -CO(NH2), linear or branched C1-C4 alkyl radicals, linear or branched C1-C4 alcohols and combinations thereof. Then the alcohol is completely removed from the mixture. A method for decorating ceramics, a set of inks for inkjet printing on ceramic mass, the use of a titanium compound and the use of a composition for colouring are also proposed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a composition for colouring ceramic products that does not contain titanium dioxide, which acquires a yellow colour after firing.
