FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for preparing an organic titanium derivative. Method involves the following stages: (i) mixing an organic and/or inorganic compound of titanium (IV) and a 1,3-diol of the formula [1]: [1], where R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently selected from H and linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl radicals, when the molar ratio of Ti:diol between 1:0.85 and 1:1.20 in the presence of at least one organic solvent that is not miscible with water, and with the subsequent removal of reaction by-products; (ii) adding water to the reaction mixture at the molar ratio of H2O:Ti ≥ 2 with the subsequent removal of unreacted water and reaction by-products; (iii) the aging of the reaction mixture at the temperature of 180–200 °C for 16–50 hours. Titanium derivative obtained by the above method, the printing ink which contains the derivative, the method for printing on ceramics and the set of printing ink are also proposed.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain the organic titanium derivative suitable for use in the preparation of printing inks for digital printing on ceramics, capable of producing a yellow color in the firing process and which is completely soluble in organic solvents, hydrolytically stable and compatible with organic compounds of chromium and/or nickel.
