FIELD: protecting metals from corrosion.
SUBSTANCE: use of N-(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine, having the formula
as a corrosion inhibitor of low-carbon steel for corrosion protection of gas and oil field equipment during acid treatments, metal pickling and descaling.
EFFECT: N-(1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine exhibits a protective effect (82-93%) on “Ст3” steel (“ГОСТ 380-2005”) in a concentration range 50-200 mg/l in 15% aqueous HCl solutions.
