FIELD: medical devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medical device attached to the skin. A skin-mounted medical device comprises a mounting plate (12) having a bottom side (26) attached to the user's skin, a medical module (14) configured as an analyte measuring device or a medicinal product administration pump, and a snap connector (16), adapted for removable mounting of the medical module (14) on the upper side (34) of the mounting plate (12), opposite to the lower side (26). The snap connector (16) has a latch (18) coupled to the mounting plate (12) and engaged with the medical module (14) in a locked position. The snap connector (16) has a release tab (22) that extends outward from the mounting plate (12) and is actuated by the user to release the medical module (14). The latch (18) is configured to be tilted outward by actuating the release tab (22) so as to be detached from the medical module (14) in the release position. The release tab (22) has an outer part (44), which on its lower side (54) maintains a gap (24).
EFFECT: invention has an easy-to-use design that simplifies user manipulation while avoiding assembly breakdowns.
