FIELD: nuclear industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nuclear reactor control device with the function of accelerating the lowering of the control rod. The device comprises a nuclear reactor structure located in a reactor pool that comprises a fluid. The nuclear reactor structure carries a fluid and disposes a reactor core, the structure also comprising a flow line providing a path through which the fluid flows, and a core control unit movable in an up-and-down direction in the flow line. The core control unit includes a control rod to suppress the nuclear reaction in the core when moving relative to the core. Moreover, the pressure of the fluid flowing in the production line is greater than the pressure of the fluid passing in the lower section of the reactor pool.
EFFECT: ability to more quickly suppress nuclear reactions in the core in the event of an emergency shutdown of a nuclear reactor due to the rapid passage of the fluid due to the pressure difference of the fluid in the production line, which increases the speed of movement of the rods.
