FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric energy quality management and can be used for single, periodic and continuous monitoring of the quality of electric energy at the point of transmission of electric energy, as well as in the development of multifunctional metering devices with the function of determining the amount of electric energy distorted by the harmonic components of the consumer current. According to the method, indicators and parameters of the quality of electrical energy are measured. During periods of deviation of the values of the quality indicators of electrical energy, due to the generation of harmonic components of the current, from the standard values, the direction of the electrical powers of the harmonic components at the point of transmission of electrical energy is assessed. At the moment the consumer generates harmonic components of the current, the volume of consumed electrical energy involved in payments for electrical energy is determined. By summing the corresponding volumes of consumed electrical energy at the moments when the consumer generates harmonic components of the current, the volume of electrical energy distorted by the harmonic components of the consumer's current is determined for the billing period.
