FIELD: cosmetic industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition for topical application to human skin to increase the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin and to a method of increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin. A composition for topical application to human skin to increase the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin, containing a 5% aqueous solution of Pichia anomala extract, with the content of Pichia anomala extract in the composition from 0.065 to 0.26% by weight, and from 0.05 to 1% by weight of retinol, while the weight ratio of Pichia anomala extract and retinol in the composition for topical application is 1.3. A method of increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin upon contact with an extract of Pichia anomala, comprising bringing the skin into contact with a composition for topical application according to claim 1.
EFFECT: above composition effectively increases the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin and stimulates the expression of HAS2, CD44.
