SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition for increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin and a method for increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin. Composition for local application applied on human skin to increase the amount of skin-produced hyaluronic acid containing (i) 2 wt.% of 5% aqueous solution of Pichia anomala extract and (ii) 2 wt.% of N-acetylglucosamine, in which the weight ratio of the Pichia anomala extract and N-acetylglucosamine in the topical composition is 0.026. Method for increasing the amount of skin-produced hyaluronic acid upon contact with the extract of Pichia anomala, involving bringing the skin into contact with a composition containing (i) 2 wt.% of 5% aqueous solution of Pichia anomala extract and (ii) 2 wt.% of N-acetylglucosamine, in which the weight ratio of Pichia anomala extract and N-acetylglucosamine in said composition is 0.026.

EFFECT: composition described above effectively increases the amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the skin.
