FIELD: predicting the spread of natural fires.
SUBSTANCE: in the method, using the Earth remote sensing data and open sources, three sets of data are obtained: fire coordinates, considered as the initial boundaries of the fire to predict the spread of the fire; static signs for a natural fire forecasting area, containing information about the Earth’s vegetation cover, relief, infrastructure, observations for the period preceding the start of the fire; dynamic signs for the natural fire forecasting area, containing forecast weather data for N days in advance. The resulting three sets of data for the natural fire forecasting section are simultaneously supplied to the input of at least one neural network: fire coordinates, static features, dynamic features, and the spread of a natural fire is predicted for the natural fire forecasting section for N days in advance.
EFFECT: predicting the spread of natural fires for a given number of days in advance after detection of a fire, increasing the accuracy of prediction.
