FIELD: power systems.

SUBSTANCE: identification and elimination of asynchronous mode in a controlled section of an electric power system. For this purpose, the method involves monitoring a section of the power system and includes measurement in assemblies using process semi-assemblies, each of which is equipped with means for measuring voltage and current, means for obtaining universal time coordinated (UTC) tags and means of communication for transmitting measurement results between semi-assemblies. Next, it is calculated using measurement packages with identical time tags, and the value of the difference in the phase angles of the voltage vectors of the assemblies is determined, and if there is an asynchronous mode, a control action is generated to eliminate it.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability, accuracy and selectivity of identifying and eliminating the asynchronous mode of the power system.
