FIELD: video encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: method for video decoding, which includes the following stages: generating a list of merge candidates for the current block; determining a merge candidate for the current block from the merge candidates included in the list of merge candidates; getting the offset vector for the current block; and obtaining a motion vector for the current block by adding the displacement vector with the motion vector of the merge candidate.
EFFECT: increase of efficiency of prediction carried out between images.
