SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special equipment for shops, coffee shops and other service enterprises, as well as, for example, exhibition halls, and can be used, for example, for demonstration of single individual items, for example, food and non-food products, perfume or fancy goods, as well as objects of decorative and applied art. Showcase contains a horizontally oriented base made of solid material with the possibility of placing the displayed object on it and a vertically oriented back wall. Showcase also contains at least one source of illumination, which is placed above the peripheral part of the horizontally oriented base. Light source is configured to change the direction of the light flux from it and to fix it relative to the base and the back wall. Base and rear wall are conjugated to each other along arc of circle and are made with rough surface of white color.

EFFECT: diffuse (scattered) reflection of light from surfaces of structural elements of the showcase and reduction of intensity of reflected light beams in the region of transition of the horizontally oriented base into the vertically oriented rear wall, as a result of which a smooth transition of the shadow from the displayed object to the vertically oriented rear wall and reduction of the surface area of the shadow from the displayed object is achieved, which reduces the area of the darkened surface (shadow) on the base and the vertical oriented rear wall until the shadow disappears completely.
