FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring rheological properties of liquids. Rotary viscometer includes measuring (1) and rotating (2) coaxial cylinders and drive with belt transmission (6) from electric motor (13). Novelty is that the rotary viscometer comprises a magnetic spring consisting of coils (7), (9) and rotor (8), which counteracts the twisting of measuring cylinder (1) during rotation of outer cylinder (2). For belt transmission (6) a toothed belt excluding slippage is used, and electric motor (13) is equipped with a rotation speed sensor (14), besides, readings of sensors can be displayed on display (11).
EFFECT: simplified design and operation of device.
